How do I manage my donation pages?

Create, edit, share, and disable donation pages, including share links that carry a donation tag and a prefilled amount.

A donation page is a hosted page donors contribute through. You can have as many as you need. Each one has its own link, its own look, and its own suggested amounts, so you can run a different page for an event, a mailer, or a specific ask. This article covers creating, editing, sharing, and disabling them.

You need a connected payment account with charges turned on before you can create a page. See How do I register my campaign for the donations feature?.

Where your donation pages live

Go to www.raisemore.app/payments. The Overview tab holds a Donation Pages table. Each row is one page and shows:

  • A status icon: a green check for Active, a red circle for Disabled.

  • Title, the headline donors see.

  • Link, the full public address, with buttons to copy it, build a share link, and open it in a new tab.

  • Narrative, the first part of your case for giving.

  • Created, the date you made the page.

The table filters and sorts like every other table in Raise More, so you can search by title or link, or show only your active pages.

Create a donation page

Click Create Donation Page above the table. That opens a configuration page with these fields:

  • Title. Required. The headline donors see at the top of the page.

  • URL slug. The last part of the link. Leave it blank and we build one from your title. Lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only. The field shows you the full address as you type.

  • Donation narrative. Your case for giving, with formatting, links, and lists. It sits beside the donation form on a computer and above it on a phone.

  • Page logo. Shown whole above your title. Logos and banners both work. A wide image, such as 1200x400px, uses the space best. The image is never cropped or enlarged past its own size, so it needs no text of its own. JPEG or PNG, up to 5MB.

  • Appearance. Covered below.

  • Preset Amounts. The suggested amounts shown as buttons. A new page starts with $25, $50, $100, and $250. Type a whole dollar amount and click Add, or click the x on a chip to remove one. At least one amount is required. Donors can still type their own amount.

  • Beneficiary. Shown above the amount as "Your contribution will benefit ...". Leave it blank to use your organization name.

  • Campaign donation disclaimer. The contribution rules shown at the bottom of the page. A new page starts with a standard federal set of rules. Edit it to match the rules your campaign runs under, whether local, state, or federal. You are solely responsible for making sure this disclaimer meets the donation regulations that govern you.

Click Create Page to save, or Cancel to go back without saving. A new page is Active straight away.

Set the appearance

The Appearance box holds three settings:

  • Main content color. The panel that holds your narrative and the donation form. White by default. The field tells you when a color gives too little contrast with the text, so pick a lighter one when it warns you.

  • Page background color. Fills the area around the panel, and shows through wherever a background image does not cover.

  • Page background image. Covers the page behind your content and stays put while the donor scrolls. A large image, such as 1920x1080px, works best. JPEG or PNG, up to 5MB.

Your colors and images also carry over to the thank-you page a donor lands on after giving.

Share a page

The Link column shows the page's public address, which looks like https://secure.raisemore.app/donate/your-org/your-page. Three buttons sit beside it:

  • The copy button puts the plain link on your clipboard.

  • The share button opens a dialog that builds a tracked link. See below.

  • The open button loads the page in a new tab, exactly as a donor sees it.

Use the link in emails, texts, and on your website.

Build a share link with a tag and an amount

Click the share button on a row to open Share "your page". The dialog builds one link out of two optional settings, and updates as you change them.

Donation tag. Pick one of your donation tags. Every donation that arrives through that link is tagged with your choice, and records the tag name as its reference code. Use a different tag per channel, mailer, or event, then filter your donations by tag to see what each one raised. Manage your tags at www.raisemore.app/donations/tags. See How do I tag a batch of donations for reporting?.

A tag longer than 200 characters, or one with repeated spaces, cannot travel in a link. The dialog greys those out. Rename the tag if you need it here.

Prefilled amount. Enter an amount between $1 and $99,999 and the page opens with it already chosen. Leave it blank and the page opens on its default amount. This is the fastest way to run an upgrade ask, because the donor only has to confirm.

Share link. Copy the finished link with the copy button, or open it in a new tab to check it. Both settings travel in the link itself, so you can paste one link per audience and keep the results apart.

A donor can edit a link before they use it, so treat the tag and the amount as a convenience, not a lock. The page still accepts any amount it offers.

Edit a page

Click Edit on the row, or open the row's action menu and choose Edit. Change anything you need and click Save Changes. The public page picks up your change straight away.

Take care with the URL slug. Changing it moves the page to a new address, and every link you have already shared stops working. The form warns you and names the old slug before you save. If you have printed the link or sent it in a mailer, leave the slug alone.

Disable and enable a page

Disabling stops a page from taking contributions. Open the row's action menu, choose Disable, and confirm.

When a page is disabled:

  • The link still works. Donors see your logo, title, narrative, and colors, with the line This donation page is currently unavailable. in place of the form.

  • No new contributions can be made.

  • Nothing is deleted. Your settings, your link, and every donation already recorded stay as they are.

  • The status icon in the table changes to Disabled.

To bring it back, choose Enable on the row and confirm. Enable is greyed out while your payment setup is unfinished, with a note telling you to finish it first.

Your pages are also disabled automatically if your payment account is closed, because there is no account left to take the money.

What a donor sees

The page opens with your narrative on one side and the donation form on the other. The form runs in three steps:

  1. Amount. Your preset amounts as buttons, plus an option to type another amount.

  2. Details. Name, contact details, and address. Employer and occupation are asked for here, with a checkbox for "I'm retired or currently unemployed".

  3. Payment. Card details, the contribution eligibility statement they have to confirm, and your disclaimer.

After they give, they land on a thank-you page that uses the same colors and images as your donation page. The donation appears in Raise More against their contact record, creating the contact if it is new.

FAQ

How many donation pages can I have?

As many as you want. Run one per event, mailer, or ask if that helps you track results.

Can I delete a donation page?

No. Disable it instead. Deleting would break links you have already shared and cut the page away from the donations it brought in.

Why can I not create a page?

The Donation Pages table only appears once Stripe has enabled charges on your account. Finish any outstanding Stripe requirements first, then reload the Payments page.

Can donors give any amount, or only my preset amounts?

Any amount. Preset amounts are suggestions, and the form always offers a box for another amount.

Do I have to use a tag in a share link?

No. The plain link in the Link column works on its own. A tag only helps you tell one channel's results from another's.

What happens to donations when I change a page?

Nothing. Donations already recorded keep their amounts, tags, and donor details. Your change only affects what new donors see.

Where do contributions go?

Into your own connected Stripe account, and out to your bank on a daily payout. See How often do payouts happen? and How much does each transaction cost?.
